Theodore W. ‘Ted’ Miller

Theodore W. “Ted” Miller, 65, of Lewistown, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018.

Ted was born on April 29, 1953, in Lewistown, a son of the late Theodore E. and Edith B. Miller, of Lewistown.

Ted is survived by: daughters, Monica Maxwell and husband, Dustin, of McVeytown, and Mindy Miller, of Boalsburg; his grandchildren, Stevie Miller, Devin Miller and fiance, Kelly Hockenberry, Tristan Miller, all of Lewistown, and Kinzley Miller, of Boalsburg.

In addition to his beloved daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren he is survived by: his brothers, Franklin Miller and wife, Jane, of Lewistown, Richard Miller and wife, Lisa, of Avon, Ind., Ronald Miller, of Mifflintown, Howard Miller and wife, Cora Lea, of Lewistown, Gerald Miller and wife, Stephanie, of Harrisburg, and Edwin Miller and wife, Carol, of Conway, S.C. He is also survived by his ex-wife and forever friend, Trudy Genztel and husband, Lester, of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey and Harold Miller.

Ted began his career as a plumber with Beckwith’s Plumbing and Heating, where he made many lifelong friends servicing homes throughout the community. Ted went on to work at Masland Carpets, which later became Lear Corporation, where he retired after over 25 years of service.

The most important things in life to Ted were God and his family. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather, bragging about his girls and grandkids to anyone that would listen.

Ted enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Brian McCaffrey. Those that knew him often ran into him at his favorite establishments, Vince’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts and Burger King, and he would also socialize on the bench in front of the Lewistown Giant. Ted had a prayer list 10 miles long and if you knew him, you were probably on it. He had a heart of gold and will be missed terribly.
