Karon L. Franklin
Karon L. Franklin, 19, of West Specht Street, McClure, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018.
He was born on April 25, 1999, in Newark, N.J., a son of Sophonia and Lenny Jones.
Karon graduated from Midd-West High School and SUN Area Technical School, 2018.
He was employed at Wood Mode in Kreamer at the time of his passing.
Karon attended Freedom Way Burnham Church of the Nazarene and also Samuel’s Church in McClure.
He was captain of his football team and coached the girls powder puff football. He was very involved in community and school activities including D.E.C.A., prom court, wrestling, baseball and football. He was the defensive coordinator coach for the Midd-West youth midgets and was also an avid Eagles fan.
He has left behind the love of his life, Aleah Gemberling, daughter of Andrea and Nick Gemberling, of Middleburg.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: his foster parents of 11 years, Steve and Sherry Wagner, of McClure; his siblings, Melvin Franklin and fiancee, Briana Fryberger, Nahfee Franklin, Samira Franklin, Conner Motel, Ryan Klemser, Nicolas Montes, Will Butler, Shane and Mimi Kline, Randy and Jamie Kline, Robin and Tim Grove, and Amy and Mike Lang.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Marriah Franklin, July 31, 2018.
Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Clark Kelsey and Pastor George Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Samuel’s Church Cemetery in McClure.
