Phoebe A. Knepp

Phoebe A. Knepp, 94, of Log Lane, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1923, in Middlecreek, a daughter of the late Jesse B. and Maria (Wert) Wagner. In October of 1944, she married Albert A. Knepp, who preceded her in death in 1976.

Phoebe attended school in Beaver Springs.

She worked for more than 40 years at the Beavertown Silk Mill where she set patterns and set up the weaving machines.

She had attended Manbeck Church in Beaver Springs.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and bird watching.

Surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joy Knepp, of McClure; one grandson, Curtis L. Knepp, of McClure; one sister-in-law, Judy Knepp, of Yeagertown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: four brothers, Harry E., Ray A., Guy W. and Forry J. Wagner; one half brother, Jesse A. Knepp; and one sister, Sarah J. Bachman.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown, where the funeral will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Darvin Reich officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery in McClure.
