William ‘Bill’ M. Donahey

William “Bill” M. Donahey, 80, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:12 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018.

Born July 27, 1937, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Harry and Mabel (Shehan) Donahey.

Bill is survived by: his wife, Linda L. (Boreman) Donahey, whom he married in 1957; daughters, Luann Minor and husband, Mark (Dr.), of Huntingdon, Lori Brubaker and husband, Jeff, of Columbus, Ohio, and Lisa Wray and husband, Ron, of McClure; six grandchildren, Allison Helton, Brittany Steele, Sarah Wray, Scott Alleman, Maggie Wray, and Christopher Alleman; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Miller and husband, Gary, of Lewistown.

He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1956.

He was formerly a member of Strodes Mills Baptist Church.

Bill was employed as a long distance truck driver for several trucking companies, lastly at Class 1 Transport in McVeytown.

He was family oriented and very proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, enjoyed NASCAR and attending his grandchildren’s baseball and softball games.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the funeral home, with Rev. Darvin Donahey officiating.

Private committal and interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
