Maryalice ‘Trig’ (Moyer) Zebley

Maryalice “Trig” (Moyer) Zebley passed into eternal glory on June 5, 2018, at the Rydal Park Presbyterian retirement home in Rydal. She was born on March 28, 1931, in Mifflin.

She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1950 and attended Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee, where she graduated with a B.A. in Bible and Religion in 1954.

It was at Maryville College where she met Phil Zebley, whom she married in 1954. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. Following her husband’s ordination as a Presbyterian minister in 1955, Maryalice served faithfully alongside him in many congregations and church agencies throughout the country before their retirement to the Morganwood Presbyterian community in Swarthmore in 1991. Her life was a remarkable example of great devotion to God, church and family.

She is survived by daughter, Cosette (Tom) Kilfoyle, son, the Rev. Christian (Kay) Zebley and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Maryalice was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Philip Zebley on March 9 of this year and their eldest daughter, Consquella Frieswyk, in 2013.

A joint-memorial service for the Rev. Dr. Philip and Maryalice Zebley is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church in Newark, DE.
