Beverly Ann Sellers

Beverly Ann Sellers, 87, of Yeagertown, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at William Penn Nursing Home. She has been a resident for the last year.

Born Jan. 4, 1931, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marian (Leeper) Burdick.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Sellers, whom passed on April 18, 1986.

She is survived by: sons, Michael J. Sellers and wife, Kristine, of Lewistown, and Jeffrey S. Sellers and wife, Melissa, of Reedsville; grandchildren, Adam Russler and wife, Carli, Courtney Sellers, Chelsea Sellers, Joseph Sellers and wife Erika, and Megan Sellers; great-grandchil- dren, Max Russler, Chandler LeMay and Owen Sellers; brother, George Burdick; sister-in-law, Mabel (Diddy) Cleck; and a special cousin, Marjorie Olson Osborne.

She was a lifetime member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir, she was a Sunday school teacher, a youth choir director, helped with Vacation Bible School and played the piano for Sunday school.

Beverly was a Derry High School graduate.

Early in life, Bev was employed by Atlantic States Gas, but left to be a stay-at-home mom to her two sons. She went back to work at Masland/Lear Corp., where she retired in 1993. It was the only time in Masland/Lear history that production was shut down so all could celebrate with Bev on her retirement day.

She was a kind and caring person that was full of fun and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Services are private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of Bev’s caregivers and staff at William Penn for the great care she was given. She loved singing and dancing with all of you!
