Jane E. Yeater

Born April 18, 1926, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur M. Steininger and Bertha M. (Steinberger) Steininger. Jane was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard S. Yeater, who passed away on July 4, 1970.

She is survived by: her children, Steven D. Yeater and wife, Jill, Dennis C. Yeater and wife, Nan, and Susan L. Gilbert and husband, Keith, all of Lewistown; and grandchildren, Danielle Yeater, Tyler Yeater, Richard Yeater, Rebecca Yeater and Levi Gilbert.

Jane was employed by Russell National Bank and later Omega Bank as a teller.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lewistown.

Jane was an avid pianist and organist for many years. She was the music coordinator for the children’s ministries and youth choir at Rhodes Memorial. She also served as co-director for Bible school for many years. She later became the full-time organist at Yeagertown United Methodist Church. During that time, she provided beautiful music for many weddings and enjoyed accompanying various vocalists from the area.

All services will be private and officiated by Rev. Thomas Morningstar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jane’s memory are respectfully encouraged to Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church Primary Department, 500 Highland Ave., Lewistown, or Yeagertown Methodist Church, 7 N. Mann Ave., Yeagertown, PA or Grace United Methodist Church, kitchen committee, 101 Logan St., Lewistown.
