Harry A. Rothrock
Harry A. Rothrock, 93, formerly of McVeytown, passed away at 1:43 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Elmcroft of Reedsville.
Born Oct. 16, 1924, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Roy and Lillian (Peris) Rothrock.
Harry was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise H. Rothrock, who passed away on June 5, 2014, and his two sisters, Iris Dubendorff and Gladys Tate.
He is survived by: his son William Rothrock and wife, Kathryn, of Hanover; grandson, Richard Rothrock and wife, Suzanne; and great-grand- children, Jessica and Abigale Rothrock.
Harry served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II as a bombardier navigator on a B24 aircraft.
He was a member of the Milroy Methodist Church, and earlier in life, coached softball, baseball and basketball teams. He also taught mathematics at Strodes Mills Middle School and Rothrock High School.
A memorial service in loving memory of Harry will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Rev. Richard Bender officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
Interment will be private.
