Dorothy M. Krepps

Born Nov. 13, 1936, in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Minnie (Price) Ruby. Her husband, Fern L. Krepps, whom she married in April of 1954, preceded her in death in November of 1978.

Surviving are: six children, Raymond F. Krepps, of Huntingdon, Clarence L. Krepps and wife, Cynthia, of Burnham, Kenneth L. Krepps and wife, Rebecca, of Atkinson Mills, Nelson C. Krepps and companion, Jane Booher, of Huntingdon, Jean M. Montz, of McConnellstown, Ray E. Krepps Sr. and wife, Brittany, of Huntingdon; a stepbrother, Jeffrey L. Ruby, of Huntingdon; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Krepps, Corey Krepps, Rebecca Guthridge, Daryl Krepps, Betsy Casner, Benjamin Glenney, Robert Montz, Patricia White, Ray Krepps Jr., Harlee Krepps and Shane Krepps; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Randall Montz; 11 siblings including, Alberta Alfson and Jean Nearhood; and a granddaughter, Jessica Marie Krepps.

As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family. Over the years, she helped raise many children in her home and this time of year she especially enjoyed providing for the hunters in her family. Her dogs Sandy, Wag and Babe were also lucky recipients of her affection.

Dorothy was a member of the Springs of Living Waters Church, in Huntingdon.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with Pastors Katie Boonie and Cookie Hartley officiating. Interment will be in Spring Run Cemetery, McVeytown.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at the funeral home, as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday.
