Thomas J. Carodiskey

Thomas J. Carodiskey, 70, of Lewistown, passed away at 9:02 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at William Penn Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 19, 1947, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Donald and Mary (Rahm) Carodiskey.

Thomas is survived by: his loving wife of 51 years, Deborah (Passmore) Carodiskey; his children, Mary Angle and husband, Gregory, of Bellefonte, and Sarah Demskie and husband, Jason, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Gary and Grace Angle and Laurel Demskie, siblings, Dona Keagle, of Lewistown, Kimbra Druckemiller and husband, Martin, of Mifflintown, and Melissa Fultz and husband, Harry, of Lewistown.

Thomas was enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Germany during the Vietnam era.

He was employed by General Electric (originally K.B. Aerotech) and worked in Inspection Technologies for many years where he was affectionately known as “Ace.” He was a problem solver who held many patents for ultrasound work. Tom had previously taught physics and chemistry at Manheim Township High School.

Tom was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman before the effects of Parkinson’s Disease slowed him down. He was also known for his homemade bread and cinnamon buns.

He was a member of the Holy Communion Lutheran Church.

There will be a time of visitation with Tom’s family from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at the Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.

No service will be held, as per his wishes.
