Myra H. Hambright

Myra H. Hambright, 92, of Rothrock Apartments, McVeytown, passed away at 2:50 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born on Aug. 2, 1925, in Bratton Township, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Mary (Kauffman) Corbin.

Her husband, Joseph Hambright, whom she married on April 12, 1947, in McVeytown, preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1989.

Two daughters survive: Linda Rosensteel and husband, Ike, of Pennsylvania Furnace, and Gwen Burkett and husband, Wayne, of Silverford Heights, Mount Union.

There are also three grandchildren, Corey Rosensteel and wife, Christina, Ian Rosensteel and wife, Danielle, and Nathan Devlin, and two great-grandchildren, Corbin and Elias Rosensteel.

Hambright was the last survivor of 11 children in her immediate family.

She was active in the Newton Hamilton United Methodist Church before moving to McVeytown, where she faithfully attended worship at the McVeytown United Methodist Church.

She attended the McVeytown-Oliver High School.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at the McVeytown United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pat Bollinger officiating. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or visitation.
