Mark Andrews ‘Andy’ Yeo
Mark Andrews “Andy” Yeo, 47, of 425 Riverside Drive, New York City, died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, after a valiant fight with aggressive Stage 4 kidney cancer at Weill-Cornell Presbyterian Hospital, New York City.
Born July 17, 1969, in Lewistown, he was the son of Herbert P. Jr. and Cheryl (Grimminger) Yeo, of Reedsville. On Aug. 29, 2003, he married the love of his life and best friend, Kathleen (Gordon) Yeo, with whom he was blessed with his son, Joseph Presley “JP” Yeo.
In addition to his wife, son and parents, he is survived by a grandmother, Thelma (Andrews) Yeo, of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown; a sister, Suzanne (Yeo) Brady and husband, Mark, of Harrisburg; brother-in-law, Joseph Gordon and wife, Marie, of Quakertown; two sisters- in-law, Mary Alice Gordon, of Atlanta, Ga., and Nancy (Gordon) Jeffers and husband, Brian, of Scranton; four nieces, Sarah Jeffers, Hannah Jeffers, Olivia Brady and Morgan Brady; and three nephews, Joseph Gordon, Conner Gordon and Jack Gordon.
Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert P. Yeo Sr., and Paul L. and Frances (Anderson) Grimminger.
Andy was a graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and Penn State University. Andy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from June 1987 through June 1993, including active service during Operation Desert Storm. Andy was employed by BNP Paribas as managing director, head of Global Markets ITO Americas.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., with a visitation at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 152 W. 71st St., New York City.
