Gae L. Reinard

Gae L. Reinard, 93, of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Ohesson Manor.

Born March 10, 1923, in McClure, she was the daughter of the late David and Joyce (Baker) Stimely.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Reinard, who passed away in November 1997. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Ray and John Stimely; and a sister, Mildred DeAngelo. She was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by her son, Barry H. Reinard; two grandchildren, Elyse (Reinard) Baisey and her husband, Scott, and Aaron Reinard and his wife, April; and two great-grand- daughters, Madeline Baisey and Falynn Reinard.

Gae was a graduate of Yeagertown High School, Class of 1941. She then got married and was a stay- at-home mom. She later worked at Artley’s Dress Shop, Lewistown Hospital as a nurse’s aide and lastly into her 80s she drove for Suburban Dry Cleaners.

Early in life, she liked going with her family on vacations to see her sister and family in Connecticut, going to carnivals and fairs and just going to see different sites. She also liked picnics and listening to outdoor concerts, spending time with family and later in life, spending time with her friend, “Willy.”

She also enjoyed listening to country music and watching her beloved Phillies, as well as working in the yard.

Everyone who met Gae liked her and she always had a smile for them. She was a wonderful person and great mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating.

There will be a time of visitation with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Juniata Memorial Park.
