Dorothy Mae (Noble) Ferencz

Dorothy Mae (Noble) Ferencz, 85, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born May 10, 1931, in Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude Elizabeth (Yohn) and Ira Wendell Noble.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dymetro Donald “Nate” Ferencz, on May 11, 1968, and a son, Edward C. Ferencz.

She is survived by: children, Enoch D. Ferencz and wife, Christine, of Lewistown, Thomas Ferencz and wife, Cindy L., of Burnham, Kathy A. Stringfellow and husband, Jim, of Reedsville, Karen J. Craig, of Lewistown, Andrew P. Ferencz and Amy J. Dietrich, of Belleville, Ann Margaret Leister and Bobby ‘BD’ Dalton, of Lewistown; and a daughter-in- law, Pam Ferencz, of Burnham; grandchildren, Michele Echard, April Reinard, James Stringfellow III, Ryan Stringfellow, Stephanie Laudermilch, Daniel Ferencz, Jasper Ocker, Owen Craig, Ty Ferencz, Madison Ferencz, Taylor Dietrich, Alyssa Leister and Matthew Leister; 10 great- grandchildren; and two sisters who she dearly loved, Midge and Betty.

Dorothy was a graduate of Orbisonia High School, Class of 1949.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lewistown.

Dorothy loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Giving to all is how she lived her life. She also liked working on word searches.

She was an avid Penn State and Steelers fan.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 25, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., 108 First Ave. Burnham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
