James A. Fultz

James A. Fultz, 80, of Belleville, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born April 12, 1936, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Roy Jacob Fultz and Kate Etta (Carson) Fultz.

His wife, Sandra L (Stuck) Fultz, who resides at their home, and to whom he was married on Aug. 12, 1957, survives.

He is survived by a son, Terry A. Fultz and wife, Lori, of Belleville; grandsons, Derek S. Fultz and wife, Michelle, of Yeagertown and Brandon J. Fultz, of Belleville; and siblings, William Fultz and Robert D. Fultz and wife, Betty Jane.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Henderson, Pauline Clinger and Betty Fultz; and five brothers, Roy, Ralph, Glen, Richard Lee, and Thomas Fultz.

He was a 1955 graduate of Menno-Union High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961 in active duty. He then served in the reserves until 1967.

He was employed at the Metz Hatchery for 44 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Belleville, and VFW Post 5935, Belleville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball and hunting. Jim was an avid Penn State football and LA Dodgers fan.

His services will be private and at the convenience of the family at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville, with Pastor Gerald Peachey officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.
