Frances K. Packer
Frances K. Packer, 70, formerly of Lewistown, and a resident of Mountain View Nursing Home, passed away at 4:41 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Geisinger-Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept. 27, 1946, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Mariam (Poorman) and Harry J. Bingaman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: three sisters, Betty, Shirley Bingaman and Barbara Earnest; and a half-sister, Marlene Shawver.
She is survived by: son, William R. Packer, of Harrisburg, and daughter, Molly D. Packer, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Destiny and Jonathan; siblings, Elizabeth E. Goss, Eleanor Diven, Doris Groom, Harry James Bingaman Jr., Harold Poorman, Roxann Barnes and Peggy Mellinger.
Earlier in life, she had worked as a nurse.
Frances attended Lewistown Presbyterian Church.
She was known to have beautiful penmanship. Frances enjoyed music, time with her family and friends and sitting around and laughing.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, for a luncheon and a time of fellowship at Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St., Lewistown, with Mr. Thomas Gross officiating.
