Andrew R. Miriello
Andrew R. Miriello, 49, of Lewistown, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 4, 2016, at Locust Grove Retirement Community, Mifflin, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Lewistown, a son of the late Joseph J. and Veronica A. (Fallat) Miriello. His wife, Kimbra L. (Spagnoletti) Miriello, whom he married Oct. 9, 2004, survives. Also surviving are children, Andrew J. Miriello and Samuel J. Miriello, both at home; siblings, Ralph Miriello and wife, Jeannie, of Lewistown, Joann Loht and husband, Randy, of McClure, Ramona Pully and husband, Douglas, of Lewistown, Joseph Miriello and wife, Susan, of Milroy, Monica Folk and husband, Curtis, of Burnham, Anita Powell and husband, Troy, of Lewistown; 13 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.
He retired as a correction officer from SCI Huntingdon. Andy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewistown, and a 1985 graduate of Chief Logan High School. He served in the Army National Guard from 1985 to 1995 and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.
He enjoyed fishing with his boys, camping, driving through the mountains, golfing, music, history, especially the Civil War, watching Penn State football and Pirates baseball. He very much loved spending time with his family and his dog, Willow.
There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating. Interment will follow in Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham. Family will be receive friends for a viewing from 7-9 p.m. Sunday evening at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
