Arlene Grace (Krepps) Rhodes
Arlene Grace (Krepps) Rhodes, 82, of Golden LivingCenter – William Penn, and formerly of 634 W. Furnace Road, McVeytown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, into eternal peace.
She was the wife of the late Robert P. Rhodes, and the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel M. (Headings) Krepps. She was born on Feb. 22, 1932.
Surviving are: five children, William Rhodes and wife, Susan, Jean Weaver and husband, Harvey, Darlene Marker and companion, Andy Lower, Debra Moore and husband, Glenn, and Sharon Richardson; three sisters, Darlene Harshbarger, Sandra Bauchman and Shirley Carbaugh; a brother, Larry Krepps; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Krepps, June Rhodes, Alma Rhodes and Helen Rhodes and husband, Guy; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: two sons, Robert P. Rhodes Jr. and Steven Robert Rhodes; a grandson, Harvey Charles Weaver Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Julia Joanne Wolfer Moore; and two siblings, Fern Krepps and Dorothy Sunderland.
A loving wife, mother, and homemaker, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.
Early in life she worked at the Malta Home, and enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time at the family cabin.
She was a member of the Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Spring Run Cemetery.
