Jack Edward Rodgers

REEDSVILLE – Jack Edward Rodgers, 79, of Lewistown, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at his home, supported by his caring sister, Marilee R. McNitt, of Reedsville.

Born July 20, 1934, in Kistler, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Mary Fazenbaker Rodgers.

Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Wentzel Rodgers, and a brother, Billy L Rodgers.

He is survived by his sister, a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from Quaker Oats Co. of Shiremanstown, and was a member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church. Jack loved to golf and was an avid reader. He always enjoyed a good joke. Jack had a boisterous, infectious laugh that always lit up every family gathering.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, 14 State Road, Mechanicsburg.
