Randall William Rowles

LEWISTOWN – Randall William Rowles, 77, of Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born Aug. 13, 1936, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Edna L. (Gross) Rowles.

He is survived by: his wife, Elsie L. (Stryker) Rowles, whom he married on Nov. 19, 1957; his son, Paul K. Rowles and his wife, Angie, of Lewistown; his daughter, Sue L. Fortson and her husband, Donald L. Jr., of Mount Union; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Rowles, of Blair, Okla; brothers, Carl E. Rowles and wife, Marie, of Lewistown, and Robert E. Rowles and wife, Linda, of Lewistown; stepbrother, Jim Criswell and wife, Nancy, of Port Royal; stepsister, Charlene Hamler, of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, David A. Rowles, and his stepmother, Charlotte (Arentz) Rowles.

Randall was a 1954 graduate of Lewistown High School and he attended Lewistown Vo-Tech School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.

He was employed at Lewistown Specialty Yarns for 36 years before retiring in 1995.

Being an avid fisherman and hunter, he was a member of the Bixler’s Gap Hunting Camp.

He was a member of the Lewistown C&MA Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Lind Memorial Cemetery with Pastors Randy Traxler and John Looney officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
