Theodore Kline

LEWISTOWN – Theodore Kline, 95, formerly of McClure, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Golden LivingCenter-William Penn, Lewistown.

He was born on April 1, 1919, in Charter Oaks, a son of the late Martin L. and Carolyn (Weaver) Kline.

Mr. Kline attended school in McClure.

He was employed at Standard Steel in Lewistown, where he worked in the wheel mill until retiring in 1981.

Ted was a member of the American Legion Post 942 and was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5640 in Middleburg.

In his spare time he enjoyed doing a lot of community service work and also enjoyed going to the hunting camp, where he was a charter member.

He was known for his country cured hams and scrapple that he made throughout the community. Surviving are: two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and James Plummer, of McClure, and Patricia and Eugene Buonviri, of Bumpass, Va.; his grandchildren, Mark Plummer, of Papa, Hungary, David Plummer, of Maui, Hawaii, James L. Plummer, of Beavertown, Timothy Plummer, of Fort Mill, S.C., Stacey Moyle, of McClure, Theodore D. Kline III, of McClure, Benjamin Buonviri, of China, and Nikki Buonviri, of San Francisco; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Corinne Plummer, Megan McKalips, Tyler Goss, Morgan Moyle, Tanner Carter, Mackenzie Kline; great-great-grandchildren, Aida and Holden McKalips and Lily Mae Stewart; one sister, Hazel Bingaman, of Mifflinburg; and one daughter-in-law, Karen Kline, of Lewistown.

He was preceded in death by: one son, Theodore Kline Jr. in 2008; two brothers, Russell Kline and Luther Kline; four sisters, Tessie Cherry, Nina Jones, Bertha Grove and Betty Grove.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in McClure.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Veterans Memorial Pool, E. Ohio St., McClure, PA 17841.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
