Robert D. Fisher
HONEY GROVE – Robert D. Fisher, 65 years, of 878 Dobbs Rd., Honey Grove, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 30, 2014, at his home.
Born on March 14, 1949, in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of the late Dale A. and Dorothy B. (Fresh) Fisher.
Surviving are: his wife, Patricia S. (Willons) Fisher, whom he married in August of 2000; two daughters: Pauline J. Healy and husband, Decland, of Monroe, NY, and Gidget L. Haser, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and seven grandchildren.
He was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Aircraft Institute, and also a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army Infantry. He also served as a veteran’s advocate.
Robert was a member of the Vietnam Motorcycle Assoc., of Washington, D.C., a lifetime member of the American Legion, of Dry Run, a lifetime member of the VFW of Turtle Creek, and a lifetime charter member of the Vietnam Motorcycle Club of Reeds Gap, Pa.
Military graveside services with honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, with the Rev. Bruce D. Farrell officiating.
A viewing will be held on from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 5, at the Rex Funeral Home, 308 Market St., Port Royal, Pa.
