Bruce E. ‘Butch’ Lilley
DANVILLE – Bruce E. “Butch” Lilley, 82, of Lewistown, died at 5:50 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on April 23, 1932, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William W. and Edna (Yetter) Lilley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Butch is survived by: A son, Ron Lilley, daughter, Deborah Glenney and husband, Robert, a grandchild, Grant Clemens, and a sister, Patricia Robinson, all of Lewistown.
He was a 1950 graduate of Derry High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and then served three years in the National Guard.
He attended Parkview Church of the Brethren.
He was an office clerk at Standard Steel from 1950 to 1997.
Early in life, he enjoyed running. He loved animals, his Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed archery.
A funeral service with VFW honors will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Ronald Stacey officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Lilley’s name may be made to Rescue Our Furry Friends, 133 W. Walnut St., Burnham, PA 17009.
