Mildred L. “Mid” Webber
MIFFLINTOWN – Mildred L. “Mid” Webber, 84, of Lewistown, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Brookline Manor in Mifflintown.
Born on Sept. 22, 1929, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Emerson G. and Mae S. (Pennebaker) Mowery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, R. Richard “Dick” Webber, on Jan. 3, 2000; two brothers, Emerson B. “Bud” Mowery and Lewis E. Mowery; and two grandsons, Christopher S. Burke and Timothy G. Burke Jr.
Mid is survived by: her children, Stephen C. Burke and wife, Dorothy, Timothy G. Burke and wife, Karen, and Paula S. Getz and husband, Dennis, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Geoffrey A. Burke and wife, Kathleen, Sarah E. Seitz and husband, Daniel, and Rebecca A. Saville and husband, Robert; stepgrandson, Cory Reigle and wife, Jennifer; nine great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was a 1947 graduate of Lewistown High School.
Early in life she was employed at the American Viscose Corporation, Arrow Shirt Factory, and lastly, was a manager at The Hello Shop.
Mid was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lewistown Chapter #283 Order of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gary Roth officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
