Cynthia S. ‘Cindy’ Glock

MIFFLIN – Cynthia S. “Cindy” Glock, 62, of Mifflin, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in the emergency room of Geisinger-Lewis- town Hospital.

Born Nov. 6, 1951, near Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late Lyman C. and Sara E. (Saylor) Zimmerman.

She is survived by: her husband, Larry V. Glock; one daughter, Diane Glock-Cornman and husband, Michael, of Elizabethtown; one son, David J. Glock, of Warren; one sister, Verta Colyer and husband, Lloyd, of Port Royal; three brothers, Darwin E. Zimmerman, Delmar C. Zimmerman, and Larry W. Zimmerman, all of Mifflin; nieces and nephew, Angie Colyer Nearhood and husband, Todd, Greg Colyer and wife, Heather, and Bianca Zimmermanp; and great-nieces, Hayley and Sydney Colyer.

She graduated from Juniata High School in 1970 and worked as a bank teller at Russell National Bank and as a secretary for Laughlin Poultry.

Cindy served on planning committees for Pennsylvania Holstein Conventions and regional dairy shows. She was a 4-H leader for 21 years, first for the Milky-Way 4-H Dairy Club and currently in a supportive leader role for the Juniata County Dairy Club. She also served as dairy superintendent at the Juniata County Fair. She enjoyed ceramics and working with her flowers. Her true love was tending to the cows, especially the calves on her brothers’ farm.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Guss Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Gay Irwin officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the funeral home.
