Donna L. Runk
MOUNT UNION – Donna L. Runk, 78, of 105 S. Shaver St., Mount Union, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at her home.
Born on June 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Freda (Horton) Long.
Her husband, Wayne L. Runk, whom she married on Dec. 23, 1955, in Winchester, Va., survives at their home.
Also surviving are: three children, William “Bill” Runk and his wife, Tina, of Silverford Heights, Mount Union, Kathy Renninger and her husband, Jerry, of Allenport, Mount Union, and Michael “Mike” Runk and his wife, LaVonda, of McVeytown; eight granchildren; eight great-grand- children; and one brother, William “Bill” Long and his wife, Joan, of McVeytown.
Her sister, Della Devore, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Runk was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and sitting on the porch with her husband.
She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1953.
Mrs. Runk was a member of Singer’s Gap United Methodist Church, Hill Valley.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Julia Piper officiating.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
