Robert W. ‘Butch’ Krohn
PORT ROYAL – Robert W. Krohn, “Butch”, 71, of Port Royal, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born Dec. 6, 1941, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Ben and Margie Krohn.
He retired from the Local 520 as a pipe fitter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a cook. He was a member of the Lenker Manor Pool Board, Lawnton Chapter of the Lions Club, social member of the Paxtang Lions Club Canadian Fishing Trip, Progress Fire Community Club, VFW and the American Legion.
He loved to hunt, fish, play golf, roast pigs, play scratch lottery tickets, and spend time with his faithful chocolate lab, Landon. He was a loving father and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Krohn Jr. “Rob”of, Harrisburg; his brother, Jack Krohn, of Bloomsburg; and his sister, Joan Cover, of Linglestown.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, with a visitation at 10 a.m. in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg.
