Richard L. ‘Dick’ Moyle
LEWISTOWN – Richard L. “Dick” Moyle, 72, of Lewistown, passed peacefully in his sleep and went home to be with his boys at 10:31 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at his home.
Born June 28, 1941, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Helen E. (Lykens) Moyle.
He is survived by: his wife, Gloria J. (Reed) Moyle, whom he married on Nov.11, 1960; his son, Dan L. Moyle, of Lewistown; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of others he cared for like they were his children.
He is also survived by: his siblings, Drucilla Eddy and husband, John, of Lewistown, Patricia Grass- myer of Lewistown, Thomas Moyle and wife, Sandra, of Lewistown, and Edward Moyle and wife, Sandra, of Mechanicsburg.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy L. Moyle and Todd A. Moyle, and two brothers, Jack and George Moyle.
Dick was a 1945 graduate of Lewistown High School and retired from DME Company, in Lewistown.
He was a lifetime member of the City Hook and Ladder Fire Company. He was also a member of VFW Post 7011, Lewistown, Yeagertown Fire Company and the Eagles Nest.
He loved camping and hunting and was a big Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
His memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Dennis Sproull officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be a viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
