Robert L. ‘Bob’ Stine

LEWISTOWN – Robert L. “Bob” Stine, 71, of Lewistown, died at 10:26 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born on March 11, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Dorothy F. (Folk) Stine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Stine and Charles M. Stine Jr.

Bob is survived by: his wife, Fay A. (Hummel) Stine, whom he married on June 12, 1965; son, Robert L. Stine Jr. and wife, Heidi, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Brittani Lynne and Kati Lee Stine; siblings, Ethel Fike and Marian Ritter, both of Lewistown, Nancy Knepp and husband, Lewis, of Mount Joy, and Judy Yoder and husband, Walter, of McClure; and sister-in-law, Peggy Stine, of Lewistown.

He was a 1960 graduate of Chief Logan High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a specialist from 1964 to 1966 in Vietnam. He retired as a lineman from Hinkel & McCoy.

Bob was a member of Centre Union Church and the Moose Lodge.

He enjoyed working on tractors and loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Centre Union Church, 470 Caldwell Hill, Lewistown, with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the church.

Interment with VFW military honors will take place in Mount Rock Cemetery.
