Paul Irving Kearns

BROAD RUN, Va. – Paul Irving Kearns, 48, of Broad Run, Va., died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

He was born in Lewistown on March 26, 1965.

He was in the United States Air Force and transferred to the Air National Guard for a combined 30 years of service, achieving his current rank of master sergeant.

Paul was a most giving, caring man that children just adored. Children know who are the gifts of this world just by pure instinct. He has touched so many lives with his kindness and unique sense of humor, leaving a huge gap that will need to be filled. Will it be you who will follow his lead? I certainly hope so!

Paul, your family and friends love you and miss you already – feel free to visit.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Kearns, and their five children, Kelsey Lauren Kearns, Sawyer Delaney Kearns, Bhayle Elijah Kearns, Emersyne Adaire Kearns and Aubrey Synclair Kearns, all of the home.

Also surviving are his parents, Dennis Kearns, of Milroy, and Janet Kearns, of Lewistown, and two sisters, Lori Ann Leister and Teresa Sue Kearns, both of Lewistown.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Aretta McMinn and paternal grandparents, Irving and Vera Kearns.

Friends are invited to assemble at 12:30 p.m Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at the Bluerock Sportsmens Club, 438 New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, for a one-mile procession to one of his favorite hunting areas, returning by 2 p.m. to the Sportsmens Club for a celebration of his life.

Please do not send flowers; if desired, a memorial gift may be made to his children’s college fund, c/o The Fauquier Bank, 10 Courthouse Square, Warrenton, VA 20186.
