Mary M. Byler
ALTOONA – Mary Magdalene Byler, 82, of Martinsburg, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., died on Sept. 30, 2013, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Belleville, daughter of the late Joseph and Ada (Peachey) Byler. She married Thomas J. Byler on Feb. 17, 1951, at Allensville Mennonite Church, and he passed away Feb. 15, 2003.
Surviving are: four sons, James and his wife, Debra, of Martinsburg, Conrad, and his wife, Nancy, of Martinsburg, Donald and his wife, Nancy, of Mass., and Barry and his wife, Patty, of Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Betty Byler, Ephrata, a brother-in-law, John A. Peachey; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Jefferson and his wife, Lydia, of McAlevys Fort; and four sisters, Anna Hartzler and her husband, George, of Mount Union, Edith (Sherman) Kanagy, of Belleville, Flora Byler, of Allensville, and Emma Jane and her husband, the Rev. Nelson Roth, of Belleville.
She was preceded in death by: a son, Larry, in 2012; four sisters, her twin, Martha Peachy, Tilma Harshbarger and her husband, Daniel, Florence Vaughan and her husband, Raymond, and Ethel; and an infant brother, Raymond.
She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. Private interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Arrangements were by John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
