Jean M. Croyle

MIFFLINTOWN – Jean M. Croyle, 88, formerly of Spring Street, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.

Born on Aug. 27, 1925, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Mary J. (Wilson) Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred R. Croyle, on June 7, 2008.

Jean is survived by: daughter, Lynne M. Walters and husband, Corey, of Mifflintown; sister, Pauline Teenie, of Lewistown; granddaughters, Sheila (Peters) Kepner and Amber N. Motko; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Jean was also preceded in death by her grandson, Troy R. Peters, and a sister, Betty L. Williams.

She was an employee of FMC Tire Fabric for 31 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewistown for 67 years. Jean loved doing crafts, going to yard sales and spending time with her family. Jean was a kind woman with a big heart. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life

A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct 5, 2013, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Ellen Evans officiating. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
