Dorothy E. Davis

BELLEFONTE – Dorothy E. Davis, 78, of Bellefonte, formerly of Reedsville, died at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Robin.

Born April 7, 1935, near East Waterford, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Marie (Smith) Williamson. Her husband, Robert E. Davis, whom she married on Jan. 9, 1960, died on March 22, 1999.

She is survived by: her children, Robin Robinson and husband, Randy, of Bellefonte, Robert Davis and wife, Virginia, of Cameron, N.C., and Kimberly White and husband, John, of Mifflintown; and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob and Jace White, Robert Vibal and Maria Davis. In addition to her grandchildren, she was very fond of her “boys,” Jordan, Tyler and Seth Krepps.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Howard and Elmer Williamson, and one sister, Beatrice Rusho.

She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1954.

Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother, travelling with her husband whose 30-year career in the Air Force took him around the globe. She loved her children and grandchildren and it was her fondest wish for them to lead happy and healthy lives.

Her funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. James B. Wooster Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
