Charles “Gib” Lannen

MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. – Charles “Gib” Lannen, 89, of Moundridge, Kan., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Moundridge, Kan.

Born May 7, 1924, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Grover and Mary Alice Spicer Lannen. His wife, Bernice Peters, who he married on Jan. 3, 1947, survives.

Also surviving are: three sons, Raymond Lannen, of Middleburg, Robert Lannen, of Middleburg and Charles Lannen of Elk Mills, Md.; four daughters, Cathy Blosser, of Lewisburg, Carol Burns of Gentry, Ark., Mary Koehn of Farmington, Ky. and Susan Yoder, of Goshen, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Lannen was an army veteran of World War II, and was a retired auto mechanic.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at the Gentry Mennonite Church, Gentry, Ark., with Dwayne Koehn officiating. Burial will follow in the Gentry Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the Gentry Mennonite Church.
