Bessie E. Frymoyer
MIFFLINTOWN – Bessie E. Frymoyer, 86, of Mifflintown, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at her home.
Born March 14, 1927, in Oakland Mills, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Minnie (Brubaker) Lauver. Her husband, Donald E. Frymoyer, whom she married on May 30, 1948, died Sept. 19, 2010.
She is survived by: two children, Faye Leitzel and husband, Merv, of Richfield, and Dwight Frymoyer and wife, Paula, of Mifflintown; six grandchildren, Scott Leitzel and wife, Amy, Becca Walters and husband, Rich, Jill Dressler and husband, Curt, Noel Frymoyer and wife, Valarry, Dara Reinford and husband, Chad, and Olivia Frymoyer and friend, Grant Sheaffer; and five great-grandchildren, Noah and Blaine Walters, Owen and Carolyn Dressler and Aftan Reinford.
She was the last of her generation, having been preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Bessie had worked as a seamstress at East Salem Shirt Factory and she loved helping her husband on their farm.
She was a member of Lost Creek Mennonite Church and attended Free Spring Church of the Brethren.
She enjoyed quilting, doing cross-stitch quilt patches and especially loved visiting and spending time with her family.
Her memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Free Spring Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Terry G. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Although there is no viewing, the family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
The family will provide all flowers and requests that memorial contributions be made to Juniata County Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 251, Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to Free Spring COB Building Fund, 670 Free Spring Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
