Louis E. Jerzerick
LEWISTOWN – Louis E. Jerzerick, 79, of Lewistown, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his home.
Born on Oct. 30, 1933, in Cunard, W. Va., he was a son of the late Louis and Thelma (Pennington) Jerzerick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Petra I. (Odman) Jerzerick, on April 28, 2013.
Louis is survived by: his son, Peter Zane Jerzerick, and his wife, Irma, of Lewistown; six grandchildren; his brother, Charles Roger Jerzerick and wife, Karen, of Lewisberry; and his sister, Dorothy Hosey, of Morgantown, W.Va.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956.
Louis worked in electrical construction at IBEW Local Union #126, retiring in 1995.
His memberships included the following: First Church of Christ, State College, First Church of Christ, Boston, IBEW Local Union 126, Lewistown Lodge #203 F&AM and Valley of Pittsburgh Consistory.
Louis enjoyed fishing, traveling and flying his own plane and was a big Penn State fan.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Mike Hottenstein officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Mount Rock Cemetery.
