Paul H. Wamsley

MILL CREEK – Paul H. Wamsley, 85, of Mill Creek, went to be with the Lord at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his home.

Born June 18, 1928, in Brockton, Ill., he was the son of the late William F. and Viola Jean (Baker) Wamsley.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ara Lynn (Ware) Wamsley on Aug. 17, 2010; a grandson, Bobby Carson; and his brother, William E. Wamsley.

Paul is survived by his children, Thomas M. Wamsley, of Cottonwood, Ariz., Rebecca D. Shumay and husband, Wayne, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Laura Lee Wamsley, of Cottonwood, Ariz., Rodney D. Wamsley and wife, Marsha of Jacksonboro, Tenn.; stepchildren, Karen Sue Carson and husband, James, of Mill Creek, Louise Flood and husband, Harold, of Reedsville, Gary Bender and wife, Louise, of Hudson, N.C., Larry Schueck and wife, Sherry, of Huntingdon, and Joseph Schueck and wife, Donna, of Millersburg; his brother, A. Alan Wamsley and wife, Shirley,

of Tuscon, Ariz., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren

and great-great-grand-children.

His was as veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during World War II.

Paul was employed at Allensville Planing Mill in inventory control for 22 years, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at the Lewistown C&MA Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Looney officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

His family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
