McVEYTOWN – Mindy Day, 29, of Ten Acre Lane, McVeytown, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at her home.
Born Oct. 9, 1983, in Mount Holly, N.J., she was a daughter of Katherine A. Haines and companion, Don Gordon, of Williamstown, and Martin Day, of Philadelphia. The love of her life, Clifton L. Fisher, died the same day.
Also surviving are: three children, Natalie M. Fisher, Erica N. Fisher and Brett M. Fisher, all at home; a sister, Tami Day and companion, Nick Kurtz, of McVeytown; a half brother, Andrew Besecker, of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Carrie E. Morgan and husband, Gary, of McVeytown; a brother-in-law, Michael D. Fisher and fiancee, Wendy Hesser, of Mattawana; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Evelyn Haines, of Whiting, N.J.; father and mother-in-law, Jerry L. and Linda L. Fisher, of McVeytown; nieces and nephews, Dylan S. Kurtz, Calvin D. Kurtz, Jessica B. Morgan, and Dale M. Morgan; dogs Lilly and Bella; and many aunts, uncle and cousins.
Employed as a cashier at Walmart in Lewistown, she was also a babysitter to many local children.
Mindy enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking and most of all, caring for her family. She just wanted everything to be beautiful.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.
A private memorial service for Mindy and Clifton will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastors Donald E. Peters Jr. and Donald Weidman officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
