Louis ‘Lou’ A. Ughetto
LEWISTOWN – Louis “Lou” A. Ughetto, 86, died on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013.
Born May 15, 1927, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aurelio and Mary (Fulle) Ughetto.
He is survived by: his wife, Evelyne, whom he married on Sept. 7, 1957; son, Michael Ughetto and wife, Debra, of Reedsville; grandchildren, Bryant, Joshua and Mindy; brother, Joseph Ughetto and wife, Nancy, of Yeagertown; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John Ughetto, of Lewistown, and Richard “Itch” Ughetto, of Virginia Beach, Va.
Lou was a graduate of Lewistown High School and attended Ben Franklin University.
Lou was a veteran who served as a TEC4 in the United States Army during World War II.
Lou was employed for 35 years by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in the sales department, where he held several sales management positions. After his retirement from Goodyear, he was employed by the United States Government, Office of Personnel Management, as a test administrator.
Lou was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, in Lewistown.
He also held active memberships with the American Legion, Milroy, the Knights of Columbus, Brooklyn Hose Co., and the Veterans U.S. Army WWII.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Lewistown, with the Rev. Michael Opoki officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park with military services by VFW Post 7011.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
