Nancy Marlene Cooper
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – Nancy Marlene Cooper, 63, of Sedro- Woolley, Wash., passed away at 6:45 p.m., July 5, 2013, at her home.
Born April 17, 1950, in Port Royal, she was a daughter of the late George “Sam” and Anna (Morgan) Miller.
Nancy is survived by: her husband, Gary Cooper, whom she married on Dec. 3, 1966; four children, Virginia Cooper, of Ridgecrest, Calif., Lora Jeter and husband, Andrew, of Kailua, Hawaii, Bryan Cooper, of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Melanie Gifford and husband, Mark, of Jacksonville, N.C.; three sisters, Margret Chriswell, of Lewistown, Jane Swartz and husband, Banks, of McAlisterville, and Betty McCoy and husband, John, of York; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a Navy wife for 30 years and was stationed with her husband and family at many Navy bases in the U.S., as well as four years in Rota, Spain.
She enjoyed reading and loved her dogs, Mia and Bubba, who sorely miss her.
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Frank Swartz officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook.
There will be a viewing held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
