Claire E. Zook
SAN ANTONIO – Claire E. Zook passed away on July 19, 2013, while residing in San Antonio.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1931, in Belleville, to the late Russell Baker and Mary (Warner) Baker. Claire grew up in Pennsylvania and married her husband, Aaron Zook, in Alaska.
Claire is survived by: her husband, Aaron; four children, Stephanie, Aaron, Anthony and Cindy; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband was in the United States Air Force. She has lived in Alaska, Mississippi, Japan, Pennsylvania, Holland, Germany and Texas.
She worked as a bookkeeper, bank teller, tax return specialist, and a cake decorator.
She sang in the church choir, was the choir director and organist at Atonement Lutheran Church, San Antonio. Claire loved creating oil paintings.
The funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, July 25 2013, at Atonement Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, and from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the church.
