BELLEVILLE – Zachary Joseph Kanagy, 29, of 36 Pleasant St., Belleville, went to live forever with our Lord Jesus Christ at 8:25 a.m. June 7, 2013, at the Altoona Trauma Center.

He was dearly loved by his family. He left behind: his mother, Sally Kanagy; his father, Joseph Kanagy; a sister, Brooke Bolig and husband, Sam; a nephew, Sam; a niece, Alyssa; the large Kanagy family with lots of aunts, uncles and cousins; and the Driesbach family and cousins.

On June 19, 2009, he married Angel (Smith) Kanagy. She and her children, Timothy Hook Jr. and Jade Smith, reside at 800 Country Lane, McVeytown.

He was a quiet guy who had a hard life with many battles including cancer.

He liked to make people laugh and had a big heart. He was a big teddy bear. He loved his little dog Sadie like a child.

Zachary was a 2002 graduate of Indian Valley High School. He was employed at Spectrum Technologies in State College.

He attended Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held in his memory at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Calvary Bible Church with Pastors Howard Houtz and Paul Kampa officiating.

Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Calvary Bible Church.
