Reuben Lester Lauver

MILROY – Reuben Lester Lauver, 79, of Milroy, died at 6:47 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Lewistown Hospital.

He was born on June 27, 1933, in Milroy, a son of the late Ammon Lester and Cora Mae (Reed) Lauver. His wife, Patricia Lou (Nale) Lauver, preceded him in death on March 22, 2008.

He is survived by: children, Vicky LeFevre and husband, Jeff, of Newport, Robert Lester Lauver and wife, Joetta, of Milroy, and Pamela M. Bowsman and husband, Tim, of Belleville; siblings, Nancy A. Nale, of Milroy, Pauline P. Fultz, of Florida, and Dorothy M. Goller, of Hudsonville, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ammon R. Lauver and C. Emory Lauver, and one sister, Helen Myers.

He worked as a carpenter/contractor for Brown Nale, at Standard Steel and for Dick Gentzel and retired from Crider Construction Company.

He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Havice Valley, and Milroy Fire Company.

He loved his family and hunting.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with the Rev. Vicky L. Elmer officiating.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
