James Robert ‘Bob’ Wagner

MILROY – James Robert “Bob” Wagner, 83, of Milroy, died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Valley View Retirement Community, Belleville.

He was born July 10, 1929, in Schrader, a son of the late James Roland Wagner and Gladys (Reed) (Wagner) Chamberlain. His wife, Leona M. (Treaster) Wagner, whom he originally married on Oct. 25, 1947, survives.

He is also survived by: siblings, Dorothy Strange and Ralph Wagner, both of Lewistown; daughter, Deborah K. Winter, of Sanford, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchild -ren; and one great-great- grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Wagner, and a stepdaughter, Diane (Bonson) Derr.

He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War and retiring with rank of staff sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion, Wormleysburg.

He retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot.

A graveside service with military honors by Lewistown Post 7011, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating.

Interment will be held in the Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
