Robert L. ‘German’ Wagner
LEWISTOWN – Robert L. “German” Wagner, 60, of Stull Road, passed away at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Lewistown Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1953, in Georgia, a son of Betty L. (Weader) Wagner, of Bannerville, and the late Robert C. Wagner. On March 19, 1983, he married Mary J. (Lash) Wagner, who survives.
Robert was a graduate of West Snyder High school.
Mr. Wagner served in the Army during Vietnam.
He was previously employed as an aid at Selinsgrove Center and later at Northway Industries, in Middleburg, until retirement.
Robert was a member of Bannerville Church of the Brethren.
He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the Bannerville Hunting Camp and enjoyed being an avid poker player in his spare time.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by: two sons, Justin R. Wagner and significant other, of Selinsgrove, and Scott A. Wagner, of McClure; one daughter, Denise Colyer, of Beavertown; six grandchildren, Hayden, Walker, Dylan, Tharon, Dalton and Bree; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cyndi and Richard Goss, Sharon and Doug Stover and Kathi and Mark Fisher; and numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Bannerville Fire Company.
