Faye M. Peachey

STATE COLLEGE – Faye M. Peachey, 70, of 119 Poe St., Belleville, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at The Fairways at Brookline, State College.

Born Sept. 28, 1942, in Greencastle, she was a daughter of the late Reuben E. and Hazel (Stockslager) Wiles. Her husband, J. Mark Peachey, whom she married on June 22, 1963, preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2007.

Surviving are children, Duane L. and Maile Peachey and their children, Liberty and Kamille, of State College, and Melanie M. Peachey, of Lewistown, and siblings, Betty Whistler, of Mechanicsburg, Joan Monosmith, of Carlisle, Ruby Powell, of Harrisburg, Ivan Wiles, of Boiling Springs, Roger Wiles, of Carlisle, Elwood Wiles, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Dennis Wiles, of Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wiles.

Faye was a 1960 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for the past 13 years at Sunset Construction, in Belleville. She had also been a paper carrier for The Sentinel for more than 27 years.

She was a member of Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, where she served as treasurer. She had also been a hotline volunteer at Crossroads Pregnancy Center for 10 years.

Faye enjoyed quilting, trying new recipes, doing puzzles, playing board games, watching sports, as well as playing hide and seek and reading Bible stories to her granddaughters.

Throughout her lengthy illness, Faye drew strength from her relationship with Jesus.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, with Pastor Steve Munger officiating.

Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Big Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 81 Wagner St., Belleville, PA 17004.

Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville.
