Mrs. Davis was a 1955 graduate of Middleburg High School and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Middletown, where she had served as the treasurer of the church.

In earlier life, she had been employed by East Salem Shirt Factory. Later, she served as a cook in the cafeteria at East Juniata High School. After moving to Middletown, she retired as a cook from the Middletown School District. During her retirement she had been employed by Pomeroy’s Department Store, Harrisburg, and her last employment was Myers Associates, Harrisburg.

Violet had a passion for collecting clowns and loved to take walks. She also had a gift for sewing and playing the piano; however, her greatest joy came from being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother because she cherished the precious time that she spent with her family.
