Mildred Mae Simpson
LEWISTOWN – Mildred Mae Simpson, 88, of North Walnut Street, Lewistown, died Friday March 29, 2013, at Ohesson Manor.
She was born April 7, 1924, in Granville, a daughter of the late Albert P. and Helena (Peffer) Warner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Simpson, in 1990.
Mildred is survived by: two daughters, Pamela Schultz and husband, Scott, and Nancy Jane Lerch and husband, Ed, both of Lewistown; one sister, Faye Johnson, of Iowa; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gene M. Warner, Marlin R. Warner, Albert L. Warner and N. Bruce Warner.
Mildred worked in retail sales at Maas Brothers and at Montgomery Ward in sales and as a department manger. She also worked in a daycare center in Florida.
She was a member of Idle Wild Baptist Church, Tampa, Fla., and was a Girl Scout leader.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Barr Funeral Home Inc., 120 Logan St., with the Rev. Edward Kauffman officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
