Harry W. Fowler

LEWISTOWN – Harry W. Fowler, 82, died on Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Lewistown, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1931, in Parcheytown, Lewistown, and was the son of the late Walter E. Fowler and Dorothy M. (Reigle) Fowler. Harry is survived by his wife, Ida M. (Graybill) Fowler, whom he married in 1991.

He is also survived by: a son, David Fowler, of Port Royal; a grandson, Dillon Fowler; and two sisters, Jean Miller, of California, and Lucille Burchfield, of Lewistown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean conflict.

Harry was owner and operator of Harry’s Fruit Market for 41 years and most recently was employed by Buckell Plastics. He attended the Evangel Baptist Church, in Lewistown, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 203 F&AM, Lewistown. He loved his grandson and camping at Howard.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Evangel Baptist Church, Lewistown, with the Rev. David Purdy officiating. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the building fund for the Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
