Florence Mildred Graybill

MIFFLINTOWN – Florence Mildred Graybill, 94, of Mifflintown, formerly of McAlisterville, entered into rest on Monday morning, March 11, 2013, at Brookline Village-assisted living, Mifflintown.

She was the wife of the late Clair Snyder “CS” Graybill, who preceded her on July 23, 2000.

Florence was born on Aug. 30, 1918, in McAlisterville, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Joyce (Benner) Leister.

She attended the Cocolamus Grammar School. Florence was a member of Brown’s United Methodist Church, McAlisterville, and the Golden Circle Sunday school class.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and her home. Florence also enjoyed watching TV, shopping and gardening. Florence assisted her late husband with his business, Graybill’s Hatchery and Poultry Business, in McAlisterville.

Florence is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald L. and Mary Jane Graybill and Dale E. and Donna M. Graybill; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna K. and Donald E. Spriggle, all of McAlisterville; six grandchildren, Clark S. Graybill and wife, Bonnie K., Mark S. Graybill, Randall S. Graybill and wife, Diane, Jody D. Graybill and wife, Kimberly, Dane E. Spriggle and wife, Michele, and Heidi E. Spriggle-Gianaris and husband, Nicholas; six great-grandchildren, Zachary S. Graybill, Joshua A. Graybill, Megan Graybill, Taylor Graybill, Alayna Spriggle and Ella Spriggle; a brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Rosie Leister, of Richfield; two sisters, Geraldine Lyter, of Mifflintown, and Lenna Kratzer and husband, Lloyd, of Cocolamus; and two brothers-in-law, Lester Leitzel and Jacob Shank, both of McAlisterville.

Florence was preceded by: a daughter, Audrey M. Graybill; a brother in infancy, Norman Leister; four sisters, Evelyn Stuck, Orpha Leister, Hilma Shank and Arlene Leitzel; and a brother-in-law, Paul Lyter.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, all at Brown’s United Methodist Church, 33762 North Route 35, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Candace S. Arnold officiating. Burial will be made in Richfield Union Cemetery.
